This homepage provides information on Reinheim and on Ueberau, Spachbrücken, Georgenhausen and Zeilhard, the neighbouring communities which form part of Reinheim.
Reinheim is an attractive, family.-.friendly town with a population of around 18,000. It is ideally situated on the northern edge of the Odenwald region making it a pleasant place to live with a high recreational value.
Good road and rail connections mean that Reinheim is within easy reach of Darmstadt - the city of sience - and also of Frankfurt- the international crossroads.
Reinheim can boast a variety of sports facilities, a newly re-designed outdoor leisure pool, a youth centre, a cultural centre, a town library, and many other cultural Options - in addition to the 130 clubs and associations in the town.
The conservation area surrounding the stretch of water known as the “Reinheimer Teich” and a number of other recreational areas provide excellent opportunities for walking and cycling.
There are crèches and kindergarden providing full day care, after-school care for older children and there are primary and secondary schools for pupils up to year 10, some of which offer after-school supervision.
